I love it when you can place your faith and trust in someone to produce results and in turn they amaze you with their talent and surpass your expectations… Such is the case with my WOD Dogs project. Given I have a lot of interstate athletes and pooches to capture, I simply couldn’t make it around the entire country to every one of them and so I needed to enlist some help… Enter the crazy talented Adam Lesniak!

For those of you that don’t know Adam; he’s my Again Faster Media counterpart in Melbourne and nearly all of what you see from Again Faster Australia is Adam’s handy work (…the ‘B-grade’ stuff is mine!). Make yourself familiar with Adam and his work at:

Given Adam’s talent and because he is just one of those blokes you can’t not love, he was/is perfect to be shooting our Melbourne based athletes… Enter the gorgeous Amy Dracup and her two cute as sh!t Frenchies, Echo and Cooper!

Amy is one serious athlete and one serious dog lover… So much so, she has incorporated them into the CrossFit Deux logo (owned by Amy and her husband, Bjorn Albrecht-Walker). This little powerhouse has some serious accolades to her name, including individual and team representation at the World CrossFit Games (individual in ’11, them team in ’12 & ’13), currently holds a spot on the Commonwealth Weightlifting Development Squad, and is sponsored by Reebok, Pure Pharma and AlphaFit. We are pretty excited to have Amy and her pups as part of the WOD Dogs photo-book, and equally as excited to have Adam’s handy work as part of it too!!! Here is a sneak peek from Amy’s shoot recently…

*WOD Dogs is a fundraising project in support of RSPCA Qld… All proceeds from sales of the photo-book (once complete) go to helping RSPCA Qld Inspectorate fight animal cruelty…

Aside from RSPCA Qld, there is another charity that I am extremely passionate about… Great Dane Rescue. The work that this group does is amazing and has saved and changed the lives of so many Danes for the better. Shan and I have been a part of this group for a while now, and throughout that time, have seen some horrific cases, been able to help rebuild broken bodies and broken trust, and then watched with bitter sweetness as those fosters go to their forever homes. Well, today we took the plunge and decided that we would be giving a forever home to one lucky little girl! There’s no giving this one away, and the pics will tell you why!!! Audrey ‘Crash’ Cooper (11wk old, Merle) has been a part of our family now for just over 4 hours and already her big brother is in love, and so are Mum and Dad!!! Thank you Clare and Great Dane Rescue. What you do can’t be put into words…

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” – Bruce Lee… The greatest man to ever live.

My bro, Matty Klarie is one talented man… And, equally as talented is his dog – Bugsie. They recently produced this amazing little feature film:

While we were hanging out today, Matty was having a muck around with Bugs and I caught the action. I don’t think I have seen a smarter dog and a more loving parent… And after checking out both these movies, I think you’ll agree!!!

Bugsie has his own facebook.com page >>HERE<<… Let’s make the little guy famous. Please show your support by either sharing his movie, and or jumping over to his FB page and giving him the ‘thumbs up’!

I have never understood why New Years was made to be the event it is. As a society, we place too much emphasis on time, and clocks and calendars rule our lives in every aspect… We eat at a certain time, sleep at a certain time, work for designated hours and celebrate anniversaries based on a day/year count. We wait till the turn of the year to make resolutions that are never kept, and place hope on time… We measure everything on time. Imagine if we had to rely on our instincts and true inner self instead of a clock to tell us what we need, when. Imagine if we celebrated every day like it was New Years. Imagine if we lived and loved like there was no tomorrow. Imagine if we didn’t wait for a new day, week or year to make a start on resolutions and actually started them when they very first became a goal or desire…
